It doesn't work... on me?
We were laughing. Just us four in the classroom. We've only known each other for 3 months. We joked about it and made each other laugh. Yet deep down we all knew, that all these laughs and jokes aren't real. They're only here to cover up our disappointment, our anger, our frustration. There were moments between those smiles and laughs. Those moments, when our eyes meet each other, there was this hint of sadness. We smiled. We knew. It was almost like we were trying to convince ourselves: it's not actually that bad. But no, it didn't work. My tears started rolling down anyway.
They still tried though. I hope it doesn't wear off of them...
